Blackmer® is pleased to announce that an upgrade to the mechanical-seal assembly on the Ebsray® RC Series Regenerative Turbine Pumps is now complete. This upgraded seal assembly – which became standard on all new RC Series pump builds as of April 1 – is a direct replacement for the existing seal assembly on the RC20, RC25 and RC40 pump models, with no other part changes required.
Construction of the new seal is optimized by using a silicon carbide (SiC) stationary face and a carbon rotating face with FKM elastomers rated to -40° F/C.
Improvements to the new seal include:
- Ability to handle extreme operating conditions
- Impressive resistance to dry run operation
- Reduced seal emissions under normal operating conditions
- RC Series pumps are still listed by Underwriters Laboratories and comply with ATEX, UL51, and AS1596 codes with the new seal.
Ebsray® RC Series pumps with the new mechanical-seal assembly will be on display in Booth No. 1113 at the upcoming NPGA Southeastern Convention & International Propane Expo, which will be held from April 13-15 in Atlanta, GA, USA.
